Fairhaven Manufacturing runs four production plants with a converged OT/IT environment. Their previous providers had produced inaccurate network diagrams, unpatched industrial control systems, and a helpdesk that routed plant-floor issues through a generic queue. CMMC compliance was on the horizon, and their insurance carrier had flagged gaps in their security posture during renewal.
The solution
Cynteri conducted a full OT/IT discovery across all four plants, producing accurate network topology maps for the first time. We deployed Palo Alto firewalls with ZTNA at each plant, segmented OT networks from corporate IT, implemented Veeam for immutable backups with monthly restore drills, and built a CMMC compliance roadmap. The helpdesk was integrated with plant-floor escalation paths for immediate response to production-impacting issues.
